The Avoca Public Library's mission is to provide access to a broad range of organized materials for informational, recreational, and cultural resources for the citizens of our community.
Library News: Lotus Paulsen retired on October 2nd. She has been a librarian for nearly 28 years at Avoca! We give our thanks for all her years of dedication and best wishes in her well deserved retirement. We will miss her and look forward to seeing her at book club!!
The streetscape is near completion! Wow, downtown Avoca is going to be beautiful. We will have diagonal parking in the front of the library. Special thanks to Bill and Dillon Kelly and his Eagle Scout project group for building beautiful oak book bins for our children's books.
Special thanks to Mt. Nebo Lodge for collecting cans in November to provide funds for our Summer Reading Program.
